Aronin Lev
Aronin Lev Solomonovich (was born in 1920) - chessmaster USSR since 1946,
the international master from the moment of establishment of a rank. The
engineer - meteorologist. Moscow,"Lokomotiv".
Successfully acted in championships of Ukraine, 1946 (2), RSFSR, 1947 (5),
1948 (5-6), 1949 (5-8), 1950 (2-4), 1952 (1-2), 1953 (3-4), 1959 (5-8), Moscow
1961 (3-5, on results a match - tournament 5). 9 times achieved the right to
play in a championship USSR (15, 16, 17 - 9-10, 20 - 12-13, 24 - 10-11, in 25
did not play by illness, 30 - 7-8). From other achievements of Aronin it is
necessary to note a dividing 2-3 places in All-Russia tournament of memory
Chigorin, 1950, 4 pl. in the international tournament of CCC, 1961, 4 pl. in
4 championship USSR on correspondence. Repeatedly was the champion FSS
"Lokomotiv".
The member of presidium of Chess federation of RSFSR, member of Supreme
qualifying Commission. Aronin has put forward a number of valuable ideas in
the Rui Lopez opening, King Indian and Sicilian defences and in other
openings. He wrote many articles on different questions of a chess.
