Alekhin Alexey
Alekhin Alexey Alexandrovich (1888 - 1939) - Soviet chessplayer, brother of the
champion of the world. Per pre-revolutionary years has got popularity in
tournaments on correspondence and Moscow competitions. By the large merit
of Alekhin was the edition of a magazine "The Chess Herald" (1913-16). In the
Soviet time Alekhin accepted active participation in chess life of Ukraine
as the secretary of chess section All-Union Soviet of Physical Training in
Ukrainian Soviet Socialistic Republic.
